— A woman was robbed of her purse by two men who approached her on the street early Saturday morning, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

The 38-year-old victim was walking in the 3600 block of 15th Street East around 1:45 a.m. when she was approached by the two men, a sheriff's report states.

The two men brandished a weapon, and one of them demanded her purse, which contained personal items and an undisclosed amount of money, the woman told deputies.

The two robbers fled in an unknown direction in a unknown vehicle, the report states.

One of them is described as a man around 5-foot-5, 150 to 160 pounds and wearing all black clothing. The other is about 5-foot-7, 150 to 160 pounds and wearing a black bandana, black hat, black shirt and black pants, the sheriff's office reports.

The victim was not hurt during the incident.
