Weather alert: More rain expected Thursday in Bradenton

MANATEE -- More showers and thunderstorms are likely Thursday in Bradenton, according to the National Weather Service.

Forecasters are calling for mostly cloudy skies, with a high near 84 and south-southeasterly winds of 14 mph becoming southwesterly in the afternoon. Gusts could reach 20 mph.

The chance of rain is 60 percent, with scattered showers and thunderstorms expected.

Thursday night, the chance of rain will remain 60 percent. Skies will be mostly cloudy with a low around 68.

Friday should be sunny and breezy, according to the forecast, with a high near 80 and northerly winds of 11 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph.
