Voters, remember who's blocking climate-change policies

May 14, 2014

As we Floridians ponder whether a tornado, hurricane or other major storm will ruin our lives this hurricane season, it is worthwhile to remember on election day which party refuses to acknowledge the existence of human-caused climate change and the dire dangers it poses to humanity, in contrast with the overwhelming consensus of the worldwide scientific community.

We should not forget which party is the biggest mouthpiece for the oil, coal and gas companies and blocks any meaningful effort to prevent at least the worst effects of environmental pollution.

We should not forget which party (given the Koch brothers/Tea Party/Republican's proven ability to block pro-environmental legislation) is holding the whole world hostage to narrow-minded corporate profit considerations.
