Female robber knocks victim down with brass knuckles, steals cell phone

BRADENTON -- Two females were involved in a disturbance that resulted in a robbery Tuesday morning, according to the Bradenton Police Department.

At 5:09 a.m., two females were at 2000 13th St West during a dispute, according to a news release.

The suspect hit the victim with brass knuckles, knocking her to the ground, police said. According to Bradenton police, the suspect removed a cell phone from the victim and fled the area on foot. The victim suffered minor injuries, police said.

The suspect, who is known, could not be located.

According to police, charges were filed with the State Attorney's Office.
