Manatee School district to host community forum

MANATEE COUNTY -- The school district will hold a community engagement forum at Haile Middle School Thursday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Rick Mills, superintendent of the Manatee County School district, will discuss school leadership teams and "5 Principles of Education Performance Management." Julie Aranibar, school board chairwoman will give a school board update. Other scheduled speakers include Pat Bernhart, supervisor of student services, who will talk about school social workers and psychologists and Shirley Hurley, coordinator advanced studies, who will discuss school counselors.

An open forum question and answer session is also scheduled.

The meeting will be held at the Haile Middle School Media Center, building 2, 9501 State Road 64, Bradenton.
