Bradenton woman charged with stabbing boyfriend during argument

MANATEE -- A woman has been charged with stabbing her boyfriend during an argument early Thursday, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

About 4:55 a.m., the couple was arguing at their home in the 3600 block of 18th Street West, when Stephania Piedrahita stabbed the 24-year-old man in the shoulder, causing minor injuries.

Piedrahita, 22, faces a charge of aggravated battery. Booking information was not available on the Manatee County jail website.

The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
