Bradenton school bus crash doesn’t hurt students

BRADENTON — A Manatee County school bus turning left onto Martin Luther King Avenue East was involved in an accident reported at 7:45 a.m. Wednesday, according to the Bradenton Police Department.

The school bus driver reportedly violated the right of way of a vehicle traveling east on Martin Luther King Avenue East as it was turning left off 20th Street East. The accident took place at 2000 MLK Ave E.

The vehicle struck the front passenger side of the school bus but no students on the bus were injured, police said. The driver of the vehicle was transported to Manatee Memorial Hospital for minor injuries.
