UNIVERSITY PARK -- A luxury crystal store will chisel itself a spot inside the new Mall at University Town Center.
Swarovski is planning for a 833-square-foot boutique to be among the more than 100 stores and restaurants coming to the mall that's under construction at Cattlemen Road and University Parkway, according to building records.
Swarovski was founded in 1895 by Daniel Swarovski in Austria, creating a machine for precision-cut crystal for fashion, lighting and architecture, and the business is still family-owned today. Swarovski is sold in select area department and jewelry stores and also has an outlet location at the Ellenton Premium Outlets.
The jewelry store will join other high-end fashion boutiques including Omega, Edward Benier, Sephora and others in the upscale UTC mall.
The two-level, 880,000-square-foot Mall at UTC is on track to open Oct. 16 at Cattlemen Road and University Parkway.
