Weather alert: The week in Bradenton starts with perfect beach weather

From Bay News 9:

The rain has come and gone, and Sunday was about as nice as it gets in west-central Florida.

Want sunshine? Check.

Comfortable temperatures? Check.

Low humidity? Check.

And Sunday's gorgeous conditions are going to stick around for the next three days.

"It's a little cooler than normal for this time of year, which is a really nice treat to get in early May," Bay News 9 meteorologist Diane Kacmarik said. "We'll have more dry weather and some warmer conditions ahead over the next couple of days."

The frontal boundary that brought widespread rain to the region Friday and early Saturday and caused severe flooding in north Tampa has moved south, and high pressure has taken over.

There's no rain in the forecast for the next several days, although higher humidity and temperatures will return later in the week. Monday will be mostly sunny with highs in the low 80s and overnight lows in the mid 60s. Tomorrow, Tuesday and Wednesday will be a few degrees warmer.

"We'll have a north wind in place today, and it will be a little breezy, but it won't really big deal," Kacmarik said. "We'll have really good beach weather for the next few days."
