Bradenton woman's home ransacked

Someone ransacked a woman's home while she was away, taking jewelry and electronics, the Manatee County Sheriff's Office reports.

The unknown burglar made entry and ransacked the home in the 7600 block of Third Avenue West some time around 5:30 p.m. Saturday, according to a sheriff's report.

The burglar fled the scene in an unknown direction, deputies said.

No further information was released.
