— A motorcyclist was killed when he lost control of his bike and crashed on the front lawn of a home Saturday afternoon, the Florida Highway Patrol reports.

The man, identified as 53-year-old Greg Earl Geisler, of Bradenton, was headed north on 22nd Court East around 3:19 p.m. when he lost control of his 2002 Suzuki Intruder motorcycle, according to an FHP report.

The motorcycle drove onto the driveway of a home at 5001 22nd Court East, striking the mailbox, then overturned several times on the front lawn of 4913 22nd Court East.

Geisler was ejected from the motorcycle and died at the scene. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, FHP investigators said.

It was not clear if alcohol was a factor in the crash, according to the report.
