Bradenton juvenile charged with stealing cell phone, selling it back to victim

BRADENTON -- A juvenile robbery suspect was arrested after snatched a cell phone from another child, and then sold it back to the victim, according to police.

The robbery happened about 8 p.m. Tuesday, in the 1900 block of Sixth Avenue East, according to a report.

"The victim and several juvenile witnesses chased the suspect who, upon being confronted, offered to sell the victim his phone back," the report states. "Victim paid the suspect to get the stolen phone back and the suspect fled the area."

Witnesses later identified the suspect, who was arrested when he went to a police station.

Minor injuries were reported, according to police.
