Out-Of-Door Academy, Cardinal Mooney advance to semifinals

The Out-of-Door Academy baseball team tallied 15 hits and held Imagine School of North Port to four hits and cruised into the Class 3A-District 10 semifinals with a 21-0 victory Tuesday at ODA.

Najee Rhodes had a homer and five RBIs for the Thunder, who advance to meet Cardinal Mooney at 7 p.m. Friday in the district final at McKechnie Field. Desmond Lindsay added another home run and four RBIs. Austin Hoppe was 2-for-4 with a triple and three RBIs.

Parke Phillips earned the win on the mound after tossing two innings, striking out five and allowing one hit for ODA.

CARDINAL MOONEY 3, BRADENTON CHRISTIAN 0 -- In the opener Tuesday, the Cougars moved on by shutting out the Panthers.
