Cinco de Mayo: Mattison's City Grille, 1 N. Lemon Ave., Sarasota, will offer Cinco de Mayo specials 5-10 p.m. May 5. Offerings include Aztec Shrimp Soup, choriqueso -- broiled soft chorizo and oaxaca cheese with grilled corn tortillas, fried fish tacos, ranchero steak -- grilled rib-eye steak with sautéed onions and tomatoes, house mole sauce, served with rice and refried beans, margarita specials and more. Manatee Chopped: Local chefs will compete with others to prepare locally grown food 8 a.m.-1 p.m. May 10 at Manatee Technical Institute, 6305 S.R. 70 E., Bradenton. Come watch our local student chefs being judged by our local celebrity chefs. A local-grown produce market will be open from 8 to 10 a.m. with a food truck rally all day. No registration necessary. Michael's on East Epicurean Adventure: Throughout April, Michael's On East restaurant, 1212 East Ave. S., Sarasota, invites guests to take a "Greek Epicurean Adventure" featuring traditional flavors of the Eastern Mediterranean through April 30. The three-course dinner menu is featured for $34.95 per person as well as a two-course lunch menu for $18.95 per person. The carefully selected red and white wine pairing will be available for $10 per pairing during dinner and $5 per pairing during lunch. Online reservations: Stonewood Grill & Tavern is now offering customers the added convenience of online reservations at any of its 14 locations throughout Florida. Parties of 12 guests or less can now make dinner reservations online at Stonewood's online reservation system allows parties to include special requests and important information for the restaurant, such as special celebrations or notes to the staff. Once a reservation is completed online, guests receive an automated email confirming the date, time and location.

Libby's offering Saturday brunch: Libby's is now offering Saturday Brunch every week, including its award-winning 60-plus ingredient Bloody Mary and mimosa bar ($9 first visit with $4 refills.) Guests will also be entertained by DJ Russ Deep, who will be spinning funk, Motown, pop and soul music to complement Libby's contemporary twists on the classic brunch fare. Brunch menu highlights include the Libbypalooza, "everything breakfast on a plate," blueberry pancakes, baked eggs, lamb shank hash, Chicken N' Waffle slider plate and much more. Jazz Brunch on the Beach: The Sandbar, 100 Spring Ave., Anna Maria, is now serving Brunch on the Beach 10 a.m.-1 p.m. every Sunday. Jazz music is provided by the Lou Harris Quartet featuring Koko Ray. Brunch at the Sandbar is available inside the dining room or on the covered open air deck with toes-in-the-sand tables available.
