David Carreras, Bradenton entrepreneur, has been designated an Allstate Premier Agency for 2014. Allstate says the designation indicates outstanding business performance and commitment to putting customers at the center of an agency's work.

Maria Pugliese has joined SouthTech as a business development consultant. In her position, Pugliese will be involved with business development for the company's PowerView Voice offerings. She has extensive experience in the technology field, particularly with wireless and wireline services.

Daria Arcadi has been named a vice president with Century Employer Organization. She has 25 years of experience in the Professional Employer Organization business.

John S. Nash has been hired as an executive vice president and chief lending officer for 1st Manatee Bank. He has been in the banking industry in Manatee County since 1982, when he began his career with Barnett Bank. From 1989 to 2006, he served as an executive vice president/senior commercial lender for American Bank.

1st Manatee Bank is opening its third office in Manatee County at 900 53rd Ave. E., Bradenton. Christopher Maxwell, a 20-year banking veteran in Manatee County, works in this office as a vice president, commercial lender. Melissa Gilbert is assistant vice president, branch manager. Gilbert has 20 years of banking experience in Manatee and Sarasota Counties. Robert Gibbons, who has also worked in banking for 20 years, is head teller. Brittany Trudeau has joined the staff as a teller. She has five years of retail and customer service experience. Customer service representative Kristen Sanders transferred from the Cortez Office, where she has worked for the last 5 years.

Michael D. Magidson, a principal of Blalock Walters, P.A., has been elected to the board of directors of

Turning Points. Magidson practices law in the areas of business and health care law. Founded in 1990, Turning Points provides services to the homeless and those at risk of becoming homeless in Manatee County.

The top listing agent for March for Leslie Wells Realty is Madison Wells White and the top selling agent is Marilyn Sakelaris.

Jonathan H. Bernhardt has joined the Real Estate Law Services Group at Blalock Walters, P.A. He will serve clients in commercial and residential real estate transactions, as well as commercial leasing. Bernhardt's received his law degree from Washington and Lee University School of Law. He holds a degree in Spanish and International Affairs from Florida State University.

For the 19th consecutive year, Blalock Walters's local government and land use attorney Mark P. Barnebey will present "Land Use Law" at The Florida Bar's City, County and Local Government Law Section Certification Review in Buena Vista.

Manatee Sarasota Eye Clinic has named Michelle Mohr Hange director of marketing. She most recently served as the clinic's outreach coordinator. Hange has a bachelor of science in business from the University of South Florida and is a graduate of Leadership Manatee. She currently serves as social chair of Manatee Young Professionals, as well as a leadership committee member. .
