Manatee County now boasts another sterling nature park, Neal Preserve

April 19, 2014

Manatee County boasts yet another prime ecological jewel with the grand opening of the Neal Preserve last week.

Nature lovers will get a double bonus since the Perico Island preserve is just a short distance from the wildly popular Robinson Preserve.

On Palma Sola Bay, the 120-acre Neal Preserve gives the county almost 30,000 acres of natural conservation lands -- and countless numbers of visitors to those outdoor assets.

Kudos to Pat Neal for donating $6.9 million toward the purchase price of his land, which he has held since 1982.

This is one more reason Manatee County is a great place to live -- and visit.
