Injury crash temporarily blocks southbound U.S. 41 near Sarasota Bradenton International Airport

MANATEE -- At least one person was hurt in a crash near Sarasota Bradenton International Airport on Thursday morning, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash, which was reported at 7:06, happened on U.S. 41 at Braden Avenue.

For about two hours, the southbound lanes of U.S. 41 were blocked as FHP troopers investigated. Just before 9 a.m., the lanes were reopened, according to the FHP website.

Other details were not immediately available.
