Detroit, MI (SportsNetwork.com) - The Cleveland Indians activated outfielder Michael Bourn from the 15-day disabled list Tuesday and optioned outfielder Nyjer Morgan to Triple-A Columbus.

Bourn underwent surgery on his left leg in the offseason and was limited to just 10 games during spring training after straining his hamstring in the same leg while running the bases.

Signed to a four-year, $48 million contract by the Indians in February of 2013, Bourn hit .263 with six home runs, 50 RBI and 23 stolen bases over 130 games in his first season in Cleveland.

The 31-year-old Bourn has batted .271 with 51 triples, 28 homers, 265 RBI and 299 stolen bases in 1,001 games over eight seasons with Philadelphia, Houston, Atlanta and Cleveland.

Morgan, who signed a minor league deal with the Indians in January after spending the 2013 season with the Yokohama Bay Stars in Japan, batted .348 with four RBI and three steals over nine games this season.

The Indians were scheduled to begin a three-game set in Detroit on Tuesday, but the game was postponed due to inclement weather at Comerica Park.
