BRADENTON -- A juvenile riding a bicycle used a BB gun to shoot a dog being walked by another child, according to Bradenton police.

About 6:27 p.m., the child was walking his dog at an apartment complex in the 4800 block of 48th Street West, when the other juvenile rode by and shot the dog in the head, where one of the BBs lodged, according to a report.

"Juvenile owner of the dog went home and dog was taken to veterinarian who disclosed that the dog will probably die," the report states.

Police said the the description of the boy on the bicycle was vague and no other information was available.
