Weather alert: Thunderstorms possible Tuesday in Bradenton

MANATEE -- Showers and thunderstorms are likely Tuesday in Bradenton as a cold front moves through the region, according to the National Weather Service.

Thunderstorms are most likely before 2 p.m., but it is expected to rain most of the day; the chance of rain is listed at 90 percent. The expected high temperature is 76, and winds of 11 to 18 mph -- and gusts of up to 25 mph -- are likely, according to the forecast.

New rainfall amounts of between a half-inch and three-quarters of an inch are possible.

Tuesday night, there is a 30 percent chance of scattered showers before 8 p.m. The expected low is 63.
