BRADENTON -- A 1-1/2-year-old child was found Monday walking in an alley near the 2500 block of 11th Avenue West, according to Bradenton police.

An investigation revealed that the boy, who was wearing only a shirt, lives nearby with his parents.

He was found about 1:05 p.m.

"Father was caring for child today," police said in a report Monday. "The father used the bathroom when the child exited the house through an unlocked back door."

Police said charges will be filed with the state attorney's office, and Child Protective Services was notified.
