Premier Sotheby's International Realty at Lakewood Ranch has announced the addition of Beth Barnett to its roster of real estate professionals. Barnett will join forces with Charles Totonis to specialize in the sale of luxury homes in the River Club and Lakewood Ranch areas.

Bradenton's Renaissance on 9th has announced the addition of Laura McKeithen to its organization as catering sales director. McKeithen has previously worked as the event and creative services manager for Realize Bradenton.

Willis Smith Construction of Lakewood Ranch has promoted Robbie Gronbach to director of preconstruction.

Gronbach has worked with Willis Smith Construction for four years on several successful projects, including LECOM School of Dental Medicine, the Gulf Gate Library and Bayside Community Church. He is a LEED AP and sits on the board of the U.S. Green Building Council. Gronbach additionally serves as a member of the Florida Green Building Coalition.

Three Manatee County residents are among 25 individuals selected by the Gulf Coast Community Foundation from across the region to participate in the 2014 class of Gulf Coast Leadership Institute.

Local participants are Michael Harshman (Lakewood Ranch), attorney for Najmy Thompson PL Attorneys at Law; Nicole Lee (Parrish), individual gifts manager at Sarasota Orchestra; and Dave Herbert (Tallevast), chief engineer for Sun Hydraulics.

Participants will take part in a comprehensive leadership-training program led by faculty from the University of Georgia's nationally recognized J.W. Fanning Institute for Leadership Development. They were selected from over 60 applicants to represent the diversity of the region's public, private, and independent sectors.

Grapevine Communications has expanded its team with the hiring of Kristie O'Kon and Jennifer Raymer, both to the position of client relations manager. The agency has also added Kirsten Raynor as an intern.

SouthTech, an IT services firm in Sarasota, announced the addition of John Briggs as voice engineer.

Bradenton's IRISS recognized its best sales performers for 2013 at a recent annual conference for channel partners. Darren Billings of Atlas Inspection Technologies (Seattle) was honored with the first-place award, followed by Tony Sargent of CE Power Solutions (Cincinnati), and Jeff Leake of IR Cameras Inc. (Santa Barbara, Calif.). Additionally, the most improved award went to David George of Technical Representatives.
