Some drivers failing to yield to pedestrians

April 7, 2014

Because of an unfortunate financial situation I find myself in at 78 years old, I have been unable to use my car.

Since about two months ago I have had to walk all over Bradenton most of the time to get where I want to go and by so doing have had to watch out that I don't get run over at crossings that have "walk" and "don't walk" lights at different intersections by drivers who cut me off when I am trying to cross.

Is there not a law that says "drivers yield to pedestrians?"

From what I have seen some obey it and some don't. I met a few who don't and almost got run over.

Some people are inconsiderate and should be home reading a newspaper instead of driving a car. It's only a matter of time before they run someone over.
