BRADENTON — Deputies used a stun gun on a man who they say resisted arrest Saturday afternoon in Bradenton.
The man, identified as 28-year-old Aurellio Ibarra, was found inside a black Jeep Cherokee at a residence in the 4700 block of Seventh Street East when Manatee County Sheriff's deputies went there around 2 p.m. to arrest him on a probation violation.
Ibarra then fled on foot, according to a sheriff's report, which ended with a deputy and a police dog, "Ziggy," challenging him in the back yard of the home.
The man did not comply with deputies' repeated orders to get on the ground, the report states.
"Looking straight at me, the suspect stood there and crossed his arms and refused to comply to our directions," a deputy wrote in the report. After several warnings, a stun gun was deployed.
"The suspect stiffened up and fell to the ground," the report states. "He was handcuffed without further problems."
