Bradenton couple robbed at gunpoint in apartment parking lot

BRADENTON — A man and his girlfriend reported to Bradenton Police Department officers they were robbed at gunpoint at 5:05 a.m. Sunday in the parking lot of the Citrus Meadows Apartments, 2115 16th Ave. E.

The victims told police they were sitting in their vehicle when a black vehicle pulled up behind them and two suspects got out carrying an assault rifle and a handgun.

The suspects ordered the man and woman out of the vehicle and reportedly took their wallet, cell phone and jewelry.

The suspects made the victims open the trunk of the vehicle. Finding nothing, the suspects drove off, according to the report.
