South Tangerang, Indonesia (SportsNetwork.com) - Michio Matsumura birdied his final three holes on Sunday to close out a 4-under 68 and win the Indonesia PGA Championship by a stroke.
Matsumura claimed his fourth career victory on the Japan Golf Tour at 21- under-par 267.
Rhein Gibson fired a 10-under 62 during his final round at Damai Indah Golf Club to vault into a share of second place with Juvic Pagunsan (69) at 20- under 268. Ashun Wu (69) finished in fourth at minus-18.
Third-round leader Sang-Hyun Park tripped to a 5-over 77 on Sunday to fall into a tie for 17th place at 13-under 275.
Gibson countered a pair of bogeys with 10 birdies and an eagle during his impressive round to claim the clubhouse lead.
Matsumura, meanwhile, fell well off the pace with an outward 38 that included a double bogey, a bogey and a birdie before a dominant back nine raced him up the leaderboard.
He started the comeback with a birdie at the 11th, and added another pair of gains at the 13th and 14th to pull within two of Gibson at 18-under.
After parring the 15th, Matsumura birdied the 16th, 17th and 18th to claim the victory.
Pagunsan had five birdies and two bogeys on Sunday to earn his share of second place.
