Ohio State F Ross to leave for NBA

Columbus, OH (SportsNetwork.com) - Ohio State forward LaQuinton Ross will forgo his senior season and declare for the NBA Draft.

Ross was the Buckeyes' leading scorer and rebounder this season as a junior, netting 15.2 points and 5.9 boards per contest. He started all 35 games.

"My experience at Ohio State has been incredible," Ross said. "Coach (Thad) Matta, my teammates and the staff were amazing to work with on a daily basis. My goal has always been to play at the next level and I believe now is the best time."

In 81 games during his three years in Columbus, Ross scored 858 points on 45.2 percent shooting.

He is currently projected as a second-round draft pick.
