MANATEE -- After today's cool morning temperatures warm up, the Tampa Bay area will experience a warm afternoon with increasing clouds.

The clouds move in ahead of increased rain chances, which start on Friday, according to Bay News 9 Meteorologist Juli Marquez.

"There may be some isolated showers today, but after a cool morning, temperatures will be back in the 70s this afternoon," Marquez. "The big rain chances arrive on Friday and go into Saturday."

There will be increased moisture in the air ahead of a cold front Friday, boosting rain chances to 70 percent Friday and 60 percent on Saturday.

Conditions also will be breezy Friday and high will remain in the 70s.

Skies will clear by the end of the weekend.
