Parrish farm owners report $20K-plus burglary

MANATEE -- Owners of a Parrish farm have reported a burglary in excess of $20,000 that includes a new John Deere "Gator" ATV among stolen items.

Frey Farms in Parrish, was burglarized between 6 p.m. Sunday and 7:23 a.m. Monday, according to a Manatee County Sheriff's Office report after someone entered the fenced-in farm and took numerous mechanical, gas powered and electrical tools, the report states.

The perpetrators found the "Gator" underneath a pole barn on the property.

Several tractors on the property had their doors left open, according to the report.

The suspects also tried to steal a large air compressor bolted down to a concrete pad. Authorities believe the suspects also entered a mobile home on the property because its doors were left open.

The suspects left with the stolen property in an unknown direction and have not yet been found, the report indicates.
