Treasurer resigns from Lakewood Ranch CDD 2 board

CDD 2 treasurer Kathleen Grant resigns

Kathleen Grant, former treasurer of Community Development District 2, resigned from the board Thursday, announced Lakewood Ranch Inter-District Authority Executive Director Eva Rey.

Grant, absent at Thursday's CDD 2 Board meeting, resigned effective immediately. Her Seat 5 term was to expire in November.

Grant's seat originally expired in 2016, but due to a legal switch of seats by CDD 2 Chairman Peter Bokach, whose seat expires in 2014, Grant's seat can be filled sooner.

Lakewood Ranch is now accepting resumes from residents in CDD2 to fill the vacancy. Candidates must be a legal resident of the state of Florida and CDD2, over the age of 18 and a registered Manatee County voter.

The deadline for submitting a resume to Lakewood Ranch Town Hall is 5 p.m., April 9. Applicants will be interviewed by the board of supervisors.
