8 arrested in anti-prostitution operation in Bradenton

BRADENTON — Eight people were arrested Wednesday during a prostitution sting in Bradenton, according to Bradenton police.

The operation was conducted in the 1900 block of 13th Street West by officers with the police department’s Casual Clothes and Narcotics Unit, according to police reports.

Six men were charged with solicitation of prostitution, a woman was charged with prostitution and a seventh man was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and tampering with physical evidence.

Officers also confiscated three vehicles, as allowed under city ordinance in prostitution cases.
