Manatee bicyclist victimized by strong arm robbery

MANATEE -- A 16-year-old suspect was arrested and charged with strong armed robbery by the Manatee County Sheriff's Office after reportedly shoving a juvenile victim from a bicycle and taking it.

The theft reportedly occurred at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 1700 block of 26th Avenue East, Bradenton

The victim told deputies he was riding his bicycle at 17th Street East and 26th Avenue East when a male pushed him off the bicycle and took it. The suspect was later arrested without incident.

The report did not indicate is the bike was recovered.
