Gunmen beat, rob man in Bradenton home invasion

BRADENTON -- Three gunmen beat and robbed a man during a home invasion robbery early Sunday, according Bradenton police.

About 4:13 a.m., the assailants forced their way into an apartment in the 900 block of 53rd Street East and pistol-whipped the resident. They held two others at gunpoint while ransacking the apartment, according to a report.

The suspects stole a game console, several cell phones, $1,500 in cash, jewelry, two computers, prescription medication and a purse/wallet, police said.

The suspects fled in an unknown direction.

Paramedics treated the victim, police said.
