MANATEE -- A 23-year-old woman has been charged with stabbing her husband during an argument over a cell phone, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

About 9:19 p.m. Saturday, deputies responded to a residence in the 900 block of 60th Avenue Terrace West, Bradenton.

During the argument, Joanna L. Carter's husband had thrown the phone on the floor, "enraging" Carter, according to a sheriff's office news release.

Carter grabbed a pocket knife and slashed her husband's left wrist, causing a small cut that did not require medical attention, the sheriff's office said.

Carter was charged with aggravated domestic battery. She is being held without bond at the Manatee County jail.
