A Paris Flea Market: The Sarasota Orchestra Association will host their inaugural "A Paris Flea Market" fundraiser, an upscale estate-style sale 10 a.m.-5 p.m. March 14-15 at the former Bank of America location, 1605 Main St., Sarasota. The event will feature fine and costume jewelry, household goods, china, crystal, silver, antiques, linens, books, handbags, art work, designer furniture and collectibles. 27th Annual Author Luncheon: The Manatee Public Library System and the Library Foundation Inc. will host its 27th Annual Author Luncheon 11 a.m. March 14 at the Fete Ballroom at Polo Grill, 10670 Boardwalk Loop, Lakewood Ranch. Cat Depot's 2014 "Caturday Night Fever" Gala: The Cat Depot will host the 2014 "Caturday Night Fever" Gala 6:30-10:30 p.m. March 15 at the Hyatt Regency Sarasota, 1000 Boulevard of the Arts, Sarasota. There will be live and silent auctions, prize drawings, buffet style food, open bar and live entertainment. Cocktail attire or 1970s fashion is encouraged. Tickets: $150-$175. Fashion Show "Simply Elegant": The American Legion Women's Auxiliary Unit 24 of the Kirby Stewart American Legion Post 24 will host a fashion show "Simply Elegant," 11 a.m.-2 p.m. March 15 at 2000 75th St. W., Bradenton, featuring fashions by Irene, prize drawings, an auction and door prizes. 10th annual Celebrity Chefs Food and Wine Tasting and Golf Challenge: The Jewish Family and Children's Service of the Suncoast will host its 10th annual Celebrity Chefs Food and Wine Tasting and Golf Challenge 12:30 p.m. March 18 at The Resort at Longboat Key Club, 220 Sands Point Road, Longboat Key. The event features a day of golf on the Islandside Golf Course and an evening of sampling specialty dishes prepared by 26 local chefs, a silent auction, prize drawing, and island music. Masquerade Jewelry and Accessories Sale: The Manatee Memorial Foundation Auxiliary will hold a $5 Masquerade Jewelry and Accessories Sale 7 a.m.-4 p.m. March 20-21 in the main lobby of the Manatee Memorial Hospital, 206 Second St. E., Bradenton. Tour de Parks Fun Ride: Friends of the Legacy Trail will host the Tour de Parks Fun Ride 8 a.m., beginning with registration at 7 a.m. and breakfast 7-8:30 a.m. March 23. A 37 and a 62 mile ride starts at 8 a.m. and a 16-mile ride starts at 9 a.m.. A catered lunch will be served 11 a.m.-2 p.m. There will be full road support and rest stops with snacks.
