Miami man shot dead after asking urinator to stop peeing in front of home

March 13, 2014

Jose Diaz Martinez got shot and killed Sunday for simply asking a man to stop peeing in front of his home, Miami police said.

Police weren't releasing much information, but said Martinez confronted the man, and asked him to stop, and leave.

But the man stayed, pulled out a gun, and shot Martinez several times. He collapsed in front of his home and died.

The shooter's description isn't likely to help police find the suspect: He's being described as a white male between 20 and 30 years old.

Still, anyone with information should call Miami Police at 305-603-6350, Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-4877, or text 274637.
