Weather alert: Showers likely Wednesday in Bradenton in advance of cold front

MANATEE -- Showers are likely Wednesday in Bradenton as a cold front takes aim at the Tampa Bay region.

Forecasters are calling for mostly cloudy skies with a high temperature near 80. The chance of showers is 50 percent during the day. The expected low Wednesday night is 55, according to the National Weather Service.

On Thursday, sunny skies are expected to return, but the high will only be 67. The low Thursday night could dip to 41, before a warm-up on Friday and into the weekend.
