Clouds to increase today in Tampa Bay ahead of cold front

Posted by BAY NEWS 9 on March 11, 2014

A mild day with some clouds is anticipated Tuesday across the Tampa Bay area.

But a cold front will be here later in the week, according to Bay News 9 meteorologist Josh Linker.

Tuesday will see increasing clouds with highs in the 70s to near 80s inland, Linker said Tuesday. After that, the Bay area could be in for some rain. "We will have increasing clouds today and showers on Wednesday," Linker said. "Conditions will turn windy and colder after that."

As the system leaves, gusty winds will bring in cooler air for Wednesday night through Friday morning.

The coldest morning will be Friday, with lows in the mid 30s possible in the northern counties and lows in the mid 40s to near 50 for the Bay area.
