Cheney, WA (SportsNetwork.com) - Tyler Harvey registered a double-double with 22 points and 10 rebounds to go with eight assists, as the Eastern Washington Eagles rolled past the Idaho State Bengals, 77-69, in a Big Sky Conference clash at Reese Court.
Parker Kelly scored 16 points and Martin Seiferth logged a double-double with 14 points and 10 boards for the Eagles (15-15, 10-9 Big Sky), who have won two of their last three games. Venky Jois added 12 points and six blocks, while Felix Von Hofe chipped in 11 points.
Andre Hatchett finished with 20 points and Tomas Sanchez had 14 for the Bengals (11-17, 8-11), who have lost four of their last five contests. Chris Hansen and Evann Hall netted 11 and 10 points, respectively, and Jeffrey Solarin brought down 13 rebounds.
EWU shot 48.3 percent from the field in the first period, as it led 37-23 at the break. Idaho State struggled and made just 28.6 percent of its field goal attempts, including 1-of-12 from 3-point range.
The Eagles connected on 45.8 percent of their field goal tries in the second half, which was good enough to cruise to victory. EWU had its lead trimmed to five with 14:12 left in the period, but it responded with a 13-4 run to get its lead up to 14 points.
EWU won despite losing the turnover battle, 16-8. It did manage to outscore Idaho State from 3-point range, 33-15.
