BRADENTON — A 14-year-old Sugg Middle School student was expelled from school Thursday for reportedly making a bomb threat.

The student wrote on a brown paper towel a bomb was going to go off at the end of the school day, according to a Bradenton Police Department report.

The student reportedly circulated the note to his friends.

A parent liaison intercepted the note and reported it to the school resource officer.

School officials decided not to pursue any criminal action, but the student will reportedly be placed in an alternative eduction facility.
