Bradenton scooter crash seriously injures woman

BRADENTON — A 31-year-old female operating a motor scooter northbound on Ninth St West in the 2600 block lost control of the scooter and was thrown off in an accident reported at 5:26 p.m. Tuesday to the Bradenton Police Department.

The rider’s helmet came off during the accident and she suffered head trauma, police reported.

The unconscious woman was transported to Blake Hospital in critical condition.
