Missoula, MT (SportsNetwork.com) - Keron DeShields scored 13 points and pulled down eight rebounds as the Montana Grizzlies held on for the 53-50 win over the Montana State Bobcats in a Big Sky Conference rivalry meeting at Dahlberg Arena.

Also scoring in double figures for Montana (16-11, 11-7 Big Sky) were Jordan Gregory and Mike Weisner with 13 and 11 points, respectively, as the team won for the fourth time in as many outings.

The Bobcats (14-15, 9-9), losers of two of the last three, were paced by Flavien Davis and Paul Egwuonwu who both dropped in 14 points and pulled down six rebounds.

Shooting an even 50 percent from the field in the first half, Montana State led by as many as eight points (18-10) with just under eight minutes to play before the break, but ended up falling behind by three after 20 minutes of action, 26-23.

In the second half the teams shot an identical 10-of-21 from the floor, but the Bobcats missed all five chances from behind the 3-point line, keeping them from overtaking the hosts down the stretch.

Montana, which was outscored at the free-throw line by a 12-6 margin, made good on 7-of-24 out on the perimeter, while the Bobcats missed all seven opportunities from long range.
