Todd D. Kaplan of Icard, Merrill, Cullis, Timm, Furen & Ginsburg, P.A. has been recognized by Martindale-Hubbell with its AV Preeminent rating.

The firm has 14 attorneys who have this designation. Kaplan has been part of the firm since 2006. He concentrates his practice in the firm's tax, estate planning and probate division, and also serves clients in the firm's corporate law division. He has a masters of law in Taxation from the University of Florida and is admitted to practice law in Florida, New York and Connecticut.

Heather Coonradt has rejoined Kerkering, Barberio & Co., certified public accountants as an audit senior. She is a certified fraud examiner, licensed by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, and her areas of practice include external audit, internal audit and forensic analysis.

Keith Reeves, co-president of Century Employer Organization, has been elected by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation, Board of Employee Leasing Companies to the position of Chairman for the 2014-2015 term.

In 1996, Reeves co-founded and created Century Business Services, a publicly traded company that grew to more than $600 million in revenues and about 5500 employees and a ranking as the seventh largest accounting firm by Accounting Today. CBIZ also was recognized by Fortune magazine as one of America's 100 Fastest Growing Companies.

Reeves is a CPA who graduated cum laude with a bachelor's degree in business administration from Ohio State University. He was appointed in 2009 by the Governor of Florida as a consumer member of the Florida Board of Employee Leasing Companies, Department of Business and Professional Regulation, the regulatory board overseeing the PEO Industry.

Allison P. Konick, DMD, has joined Bayview Dental Associates. Konick provides cosmetic and family dentistry services at BayView Dental's office near Sarasota Memorial Hospital. Konick is a graduate of the University of Florida College of Dentistry, where she earned a doctorate in dental medicine. She is also a graduate of Villanova University, where she earned degrees in biology and Hispanic studies. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association, the West Coast Florida Dental Association, and the Manatee Dental Society.

Local agents Susan Ritter, Donna Blizman and Suann Southwick attended the National Association of Health Underwriters 24th Annual Capitol Conference in Washington, D.C. The theme of the meeting was "Agents of Change, Seizing the Opportunity!" More than 850 health insurance professionals from across the country promoted resolutions for health care issues with congressional leaders. The agents all serve on the board of directors at Gulf Coast Association of Health Underwriters.
