Kudos: Manatee County students dominate Florida tech, engineering competition

March 1, 2014

Major kudos to Manatee County school district students -- who ruled the 35th Annual Florida Technology Student Association State Competition.

Manatee scholars captured 109 of the 222 trophies. In both the middle and high school divisions, Manatee put five schools in the top 10. Braden River, Southeast and Lakewood Ranch high schools ranked first through third respectively. Nolan Middle School won the division with Johnson taking third.

This is now a tradition with Manatee schools having won more trophies and top 10 finishes for eight consecutive years.

How's that for total domination in technology and engineering?
