CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. — Tyler Stone pumped in 20 points and grabbed 11 rebounds as Southeast Missouri State held off Austin Peay, 83-80 Thursday night to clinch a berth in the Ohio Valley Conference tournament.
The Redhawks shot a red-hot 60 percent from the field (33 of 55), but left the door open for Austin Peay in the final minute by converting just 4 of 8 free throw attempts.
Jarekious Bradley scored 16 points for the Redhawks (16-13, 7-8), who got 14 points from Nino Johnson, 12 from Antonius Cleveland and 11 from Josh Langford.
The loss was the fourth straight for Austin Peay (11-18, 5-10). Travis Betran scored 28 points to lead the Governors, hitting 7 of 17 shots from the field and 11 of 12 from the line. Ed Dyson added 20 points and Will Triggs 15.
