Bradenton, Tampa Bay under fog advisory until 9 a.m. Wednesday

MANATEE -- Bradenton, Sarasota and the rest of the Tampa Bay region are under a dense fog advisory until 9 a.m., Wednesday according to the National Weather Service.

The advisory went into effect at 4:30 a.m. as areas of fog began to develop.

The Weather Service, as well as Florida Highway Patrol, advised motorists to drive with caution as they off to work and school Wednesday morning.

As for the rest of the day, rain is likely in Bradenton on Wednesday, especially in the evening and into Thursday, in advance of a cold front, according to the Weather Service.

Forecasters for Wednesday are calling for partly sunny skies with a high near 77. The chance of rain is 40 percent.

Wednesday night, the chance of rain increases to 80 percent.

Thursday's high temperature is expected to reach 65, with a 60 percent chance of rain. Thursday night, the low could reach 50, according to the forecast.
