Bradenton woman trapped in single-car collision before rescue

RADENTON — A woman driver was trapped in her vehicle for roughly 40 minutes after an accident at 3:06 a.m. Tuesday.

The woman’s vehicle struck a tree in the 1600 block of 75th Street West, according to a Bradenton Police Department report.

The impact resulted in significant damage to the vehicle and also obstructed the driver’s exit, the report states.

The driver was taken to Blake Medical Center for treatment but there was no further word on her condition.
