Recap: Montana State vs. Weber State

Bozeman, MT (SportsNetwork.com) - Davion Berry scored 20 points, hitting a perfect 10-of-10 from the free-throw line as the Weber State Wildcats cruised past the Montana State Bobcats, 86-68, in a Big Sky Conference battle at Worthington Arena.

Jordan Richardson netted 19 points on 6-of-10 shooting for Weber State (15-9, 12-4 Big Sky). Richaud Gittens chipped in with 14 points, and Jeremy Senglin added 12 points. Joel Bolomboy grabbed a team-high 11 rebounds in the win. The victory snapped a two-game losing skid for the Wildcats.

Flavien Davis tallied 15 points and seven rebounds for Montana State (13-14, 8-8). Paul Egwuonwu contributed 14 points and five boards, and Terrell Brown notched 12 points in the defeat. The Bobcats have lost two of their last three games.

Weber State came out firing in the first half, knocking down 54.5 percent of its shot attempts, including 6-of-12 from 3-point range, in the period. The Wildcats owned a 39-30 lead at the intermission after Montana State hit 44.8 percent of its field goal tries, including 1-of-3 from deep.

The Wildcats improved to an impressive 61.9 percent shooting in the second half, adding 17-of-20 from the free-throw line. The Bobcats dropped their accuracy to 30.3 percent from the floor in the frame, but matched Weber State's 17 free throws.

Weber State outscored Montana State from 3-point distance, 30-6, and held the advantage in bench points, 22-14. Montana State had the edge in points in the paint, 20-12.
