Boulder, CO (SportsNetwork.com) - Askia Booker scored 18 points and Josh Scott finished with a double-double as the Colorado Buffaloes earned a 61-52 victory over the Arizona State Sun Devils in a Pac-12 contest at Coors Events Center.
Scott had 13 points to match 13 rebounds for Colorado (20-7, 9-5 Pac-12), which has won five of its last six. Xavier Johnson added 11 points in the win.
Jahii Carson netted 18 points and Jonathan Gilling tallied 10 for Arizona State (19-7, 8-5), which had a three-game winning streak snapped.
Both teams struggled to find their shot in the first half. Colorado shot at a 38.5 percent clip, which was better than the 31 percent showing from Arizona State. The Buffaloes led, 27-26, at halftime.
Despite connecting on only 35.7 percent from the floor in the final 20 minutes, the Buffaloes hit 14-of-16 at the free-throw line and limited the Sun Devils to eight field goals to pull off the victory.
Colorado owned a 48-27 advantage on the glass. Arizona State outscored the Buffaloes, 21-3, from 3-point range.
