Eugene, OR (SportsNetwork.com) - Mike Moser scored 20 points to lead the Oregon Ducks to a 78-71 triumph over the Washington Huskies in Pac-12 action at Matthew Knight Arena.
Joseph Young tallied 18 points and Damyean Dotson dropped in 17 for Oregon (17-8, 5-8 Pac-12), which has won back-to-back games following a two-game slide.
Perris Blackwell paced Washington (14-13, 6-8) with 17 points. Andrew Andrews chipped in 15 points and Nigel Williams-Goss and Desmond Simmons each tallied 12. The Huskies have lost four of their last five.
Washington connected on 45.2 percent from the floor and 10-of-11 at the free- throw line in the first half. Oregon shot a superior 48.1 percent from the field, but had only seven points at the free-throw line, as well as a 19-13 deficit on the boards. The advantages at the charity stripe and in rebounds allowed the Huskies to claim a 39-36 lead at intermission.
Oregon rallied in the final 20 minutes by improving to 66.7 percent shooting. Washington could not keep up, knocking down only 41.7 percent from the floor in the final 20 minutes.
Despite the loss, the Huskies owned a 33-21 advantage in rebounds. Oregon outscored Washington, 38-30, in the paint during a game that featured eight ties and nine lead changes.
